Hernandez will be a 28-year-old free agent after the 2014 season
Felix Hernandez nicknamed "King Felix", is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the Seattle Mariners.
It is known that he throws a fastball that has been clocked as high as 100 mph, although he does not rely entirely on overpowering velocity. Instead he often uses a two-seam fastball, which comes in just a bit slower but with more movement and sinks as it approaches the batter.
His repertoire of pitches also includes a hard curve, a changeup, and a slider, all of which he can throw extremely well (he avoided the slider early in his career because the team was concerned it might injure his arm). When at his best, Hernandez can induce a steady procession of groundball outs and strikeouts, with very few balls being hit in the air.
Like some other pitchers, Hernandez wears a long-sleeved undershirt beneath his uniform jersey. I wander if you are keen to have one
com/">Seattle Mariners. While typically this is done to keep the pitcher's arm from getting chilled, Hernandez wears it even in the hottest weather. For him it serves to keep perspiration from running down his arms and interfering with his hand's grip on the baseball. I suggest that you should do as he does to keep your arm warm.
Before the 2010 season, the Seattle Mariners signe Felix Hernandez to a five-year extension worth $80 million. The team was expected to contend behind a strong offense and a 1-2 pitching punch of Hernandez and the newly-acquired Cliff Lee. Instead, the exact opposite happened. The Mariners largely underachieved in 2010. The team finished the season 61-101, last in the American League Western Division.
Thus, with the team seemingly out of playoff contention for this season and the near future as well, trade rumors involving Felix Hernandez have circulated. Hernandez will be a 28-year-old free agent after the 2014 season and odds are that he will leave Seattle for greener pastures.
