Online Guitar Lessons
My Name is Alvaro Avila, I teach guitar. Have done this for more than 20 years. My specialty is helping beginners. Starting from zero sometimes is difficult when you attend an academy or school because they teach mostly in groups. That’s a problem. Another is, that they have to follow guidelines, which sometimes, is not what the student wants to learn (client is always right, remember?). I never recommend group guitar lessons because every student has different talents. For example: One student could have a very sharp “ear” but little talent for rhythm. Another student could possess extraordinary musical skills but limited understanding of reading and theory. That is why I only teach individuals. But my problem was, for many years, the fact that I can only help one person at a time, and people call me every week asking for lessons, so I decided to record my lessons on video and upload them into a website called www.guitarsimple.com. Due to my latin roots, I have my lessons also in Spanish. In fact, English is my second language. You can find my lessons at: http://www.eng.guitarsimple.com and http://www.esp.guitarsimple.com (Spanish) They are specially designed for beginners.Take the first 4 lessons for a free trial, or think for a moment, if this could be a great gift for someone you love, instead of the same jacket or watch you gave them last time. Yes… I know there are millions of free guitar web sites in the web but I strongly believe in my ability to teach because I pay attention to ALL details and hundreds of people had learned from me during these past 20 years. To be honest, the problem that I have found is the incredible amount of competition, hundreds of thousands of websites paid and free, but above all, I know deep in my heart that my lessons can definitely teach anyone to start from zero and competition is not good enough to beat my experience and dedication to my students. I am entirely sure that people all over the world will start to recognize my talent to teach, once they try my lessons. 20 years ago, after 4 years of attending classes with outstanding grades, I could not finish my music studies because I needed to pay my bills, but now I am back to College and working on my Music Education degree at my old University. Is amazing that my Music History teacher is still there and I am taking his class again to refresh my knowledge, among other mandatory classes, but I really love it, and my grades are top. Think about my lessons, as a way to relax and enjoy music after a hard day’s work. God bless !! PD: If you are not a beginner, you might be interested in my CHORDS VIDEO which will be ready soon. E-mail me if you want to learn more about it.
