The reason for this limit is because you are basing your goal on previous experiences or other information that limits your belief in achieving greatness.
When people decided to build a craft to fly out into space they did not limit themselves with the technology of manufacturing a car.
They made use of science and laws that govern our universe to figure out a way to be able to make a vehicle that could go out into space.
There is a saying that if you want to shoot an eagle, do not aim for the eagle, aim for the moon.
You should imagine with out limitations. Logic lead to reasoning and reasoning will destroy your dream because you will start to think of all the reasons why reaching your goal is not ever going to become a reality. It will make you doubt that your goal is achievable.
The key to making a success and achieving what you want, is to clearly know what you want and to put it on paper and to review it everyday.
Do not use the word goal at all because subconsciously you have in your mind goals that you have set to achieve and it never materialized.
Studies have shown that you will have a 70% chance of achieving a goal but a 90% chance of achieving a promise. Nobody likes to break a promise, so contemplate what you want to achieve and when you want this to become a reality.
Then promise yourself that you are going to do it. Do not think about how you are going to do it when setting up your promise, the how will appear later.
It is very important that what you promise yourself is not for somebody else but 100% what you want to do for yourself. Be extremely clear on what you promise yourself to accomplish.
You need all the leverage that you can get to help you achieve your promise. You need people outside of what you are doing that will encourage you along the way so that at times when you might feel down, there is somebody that can help motivate you to keep going. This person would be a positive motivator that you have to identify.
An other tool is negative motivation.
What is negative motivation?
It is people around you that say to you that what you are doing will never work and they try to discourage you. This is what you do, write their name on a piece of paper and keep it in one of your desk drawers.
Have a look at that paper everyday and realize that if you keep doing what you are doing, you will prove that person wrong. You do not have to tell that person that you are doing this because they are entitled to their opinion but use it as motivation to make a success.
Remember that these kind of people are not the reason why you are striving to achieve your promise, you are the reason for striving to achieve your promise, you are doing what you want to do not for anybody else except for yourself.
God has placed you on this earth for a purpose and you need to find out what it is that you are supposed to be doing. You have to listen to the voice inside of you and then you will fulfill your purpose.
Your promise plan should consist of a couple of important facts
1. What are you going to do?
2. When are you going to accomplish this promise?
3. Where will you be when this happens?
4. Why do you want this promise?
5. Who do you need to help you?
Example:
1.What time are you going to set aside to reach your promise?
2. Set a date by which you plan to have accomplished your promise.
3. Will you be traveling the world or cruising on a ship?
4. Be very clear on this because this is the most important part of your promise. This is your reason, your purpose.
5. Identify somebody that can help you reach your promise that will assist you with the proper guidance.
Review this plan 20 min per day. I do not believe people when they say that they do not have 20 min in 24 hours for themselves, if you are serious about accomplishing your reason, you will make the time to do it.
Photographs or a poster of a car or house that you would like to own is also a great motivation tool. Keep a photo or poster of what it is that you plan to achieve where it will always be in your view that will remind you of your promise.
Affirmations is an other great tool that all successful people use. Tell yourself that you are going to succeed on a regular basis and tell yourself why you are going to succeed.
People are accustomed to telling each other including themselves negative worries and concerns of things that might go wrong.
Affirmations is just the opposite of worries and concerns. Affirmations is positive constructive things that you say to yourself that is up lifting and strengthens your belief in what you are going to achieve.
Tell yourself all the reasons why it is going to work. Remind yourself of the things that you are good at. This will strengthen your belief. You cannot expect to make a success in anything if you do not 100% believe in what you are doing that it is the right thing to do.
Tell someone else about your promise, it will increase the risk and motivate you further to keep going because the person that you have shared your promise with is going to ask you later how it is going.
Finally, you need to start, if you do not start, then nothing will come to pass.
You are the only reason for your failure or success.
There are mainly two reasons why people do not start and they are because of fear and concern of something that happened in the past and not knowing what is going to happen in the future.
All that matters is NEXT.
